To be a little more specific...Are you buying new? The new trucks have loads of power but that takes fuel so shouldn't be too hyped up on getting better or equal for a bigger truck...Buying used? now that takes on a different look...some trucks have done better from year to year with in the brand and across the big 3. So I think what you need to look at is...what are you considering and re-ask the question. Plus find out about what the issues are for that truck, some of us will tell you. Good luck!

To answer the question on what I'm buying haven't made up my mind yet, but it will be used don't know weather gas or diesel heard good and bad about both used to have a 2010 F250 with a 78 camper probably 2000 lbs dry but it took a tree through the roof of the camper and I got sick, sold the truck. I got 12mpg Imperial with it wasn't impressed, so I'm kinda looking more towards diesel, pre DPF, 05-06 even if I have to rebuild it I got a diesel mechanic who used to work on my big truck who will do it, but hopefully that is not in the equasion
