What's missing is the big ole truck boot between cab and truck
That is my take. I had a 3/4 GMC just like it. I eventually put a flat bed on it. One of the TCs I had on it was a 11.5 foot Lance. I did have 12x16.5s on the rear, and 9x16.5s on the front. I also added an anti-sway bar and 1-ton overloads. I used the air donuts on the roof and between the TC/cab sliding windows. I used it for 10 to 15 years and never broke anything. I also pulled a 28-foot flatbed trailer with a WD hitch, loaded with a Sandrail (or Baja Bug) 3-wheel Hondas, motorcycles, camping gear, and extra gasoline.
Wayne - pjay9ExplorerThey are ready for some kayaks...looks like early Yakima gutter rack on top...you know 19.5's would do it for sure!

I think it will work ok if he scoots it forward a few more inches.
From the looks of the rear bumper, looks like they tried that, and then scooted it rearward to optimize the weight distribution. - sclarkExplorerNeeds airbags. Good to go...
- downtheroadExplorerMust be a 'southern thing."
Seriously, just need this and it will fit just fine... - TrackrigExplorer IIThat looks about the vintage and colors of my first TC and truck. It did just fine and I did put a few miles on it and a lot of them were on dirt roads. The truck was a blue 1983 Chevy 4X4 6.2 diesel without a turbo on it. I'm sure he won't have any problems either.
Bill - romoreExplorer IIMaybe he is storing it there for the winter although it will be a little tough to unload come spring.
