As already mentioned the black tank is not a septic tank,it is a glorified chamber pot.
We use a drop in packet and lots of water. When we dump the black tank we flush with a couple of gallons of water till the back water runs clear. Then we dump the gray water.
Fortunately we do not stay in one spot for long so the black tank gets a lot of over the road agitation between stops. We sometime dump when we pull into the campground.
