I don't know about that really. 13yo and 450k kms and they are just starting to go? I've replaced just about all the suspension, steering and drive components under my truck that move. It would be nice if everything lasted forever but nothing does.
If you look at a sample of 1, that high mileage and age doesn't look too bad. However, if you dig a little you will see that they fail early and often and the truck doesn't have to be a high miler to experience the failure of these bushings.
I'm not ragging on Ford, all brands have some type of similar issue with one part or another. In Fords, these bushings are something they screwed up. Clearly a poor materials choice.
