This is why people should run from the 6.0. No they are not all bad. But ifg you get caught with a bad one you are totally screwed. Why things have quieted down in recent years, These 6.0 stories still occur.
No I don't expect Ford to warranty a 10 year old truck but I do expect Ford to make a truck to last 10 without a catastrophic failure.
Notice the OP wrote no chips,garage kept, maintenance completed.
No answers/help/support from Ford. These are well known issues at this point.
Simply put this story is why after 15 years and 2 trucks I no longer own a Ford.
I could not take a chance that I would be the one left with no answers and a big bill.
