Well, that is the strange part. I do raise the trailer and TV when hooking up or unhooking. I raise it A LOT. I had to do this with the Reese system too. Never had an issue with the Reese system.
Now I'm having issues where the passenger side won't let the chain links go when you rotate the latch. It's almost as if the enclosed rotating latch has been bent inwards (it isn't) and is catching the chains preventing them from coming loose.
I have to rotate the latch 3 or 4 times before the chains free up and this is usually where I end up hurting myself. I wear a pair of gloves now so I don't scrape off skin from my fingers or the top of my hand.
It's unfortunate that my dealer, Peterborough RV, has been most unhelpful.
Everybody says the Blue Ox system is a breeze to use, including my neighbour down the road, but that is the complete opposite experience I have been having.
