I don't think it's going to happen! Dedicated bed, private bath and 1500 lbs....I can't think of anything available. A small pop up will give you the bed, but nothing more than a not-so-private porta potty. To meet the weight requirement, your priorities will have to change...at best, a good bed and porta potty cabinet. For something new, look at the Aliner units such as the Scout or Ranger.

Or, look at small pop-ups. But, can he deal with wet canvas i.e. will he be able to let any wet canvas dry before any storage or lack of use?
He may be able to find a very small used trailer...but when looking at weight, he has to remember the weight of gear and the weight restrictions of the Caravan.
Realistically, depending on how much he will be using the camper, he needs to trade in the Caravan for a decent truck so he has some options for a decent small trailer that would have a bed and full bathroom.
