X2 The steering components you should have realized during the test drive, the tires a simple look, the seals well how many miles. You bought used you need to expect to make a few repairs!
I bought mine with 234,000 miles, and so far the only major $$$ for repairs (not maintenance) has been for a new clutch and ball joints.
Ball joints were $400, as I did them myself, the clutch was $1,200 (also self install)as I went with a Valair double disk setup for pulling at least 11,000#. The old clutch was doing OK, until I installed the DS Power Puck, then took the old 5er (about 9,000#) out for a "Test Tow" accelerating up a 6% grade from a dead stop, as I hit 62 mph in 4th and then place in 5th just too much for that old single disk!
