my dmv experiance today

9am to 3 pm..3 trips and finally got ownership transferred and new plate. My 1960 layton from out of state has no vin so let the nightmare begin. I had the original pink but not good enough, my new registration now has the date of 0000. I'm new to vintage so I hope not having the original pink isn't too big of a blunder. The original owner wanted the plate back so I said just do it. DMV here took the plate anyway. If you guessed I'm in california..bingo!
Anyway just joined and thought I'd share. Hello people

  • hangster , see the first post by Brad , it shows various links.
I use photobucket. I transfer (upload) my pictures into a photobucket acct then click 'direct link' once I enlarge each photo.
When replying on rvnet , I then click 'post a reply' (you'll see the 16 icons in the reply box)
use the square yellow picture icon when I want to 'post a reply' showing a picture . Limit your size to , I think its 600 width . You only have to put in the width. You can click the 3rd icon with the magnifying glass to 'preview your picture before you post it .

  • We don't do DMV for vehicle registration. It is the business of the state's Tax Commission, which farms it out to private enterprise, i.e licensed Tag Agents. Since the Tag Agent gets a small fixed fee for each transaction, it is in his best interest to handle it all as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Yes, I too would like to see what you have for a TT. MN can be a nightmare for transfers too sometimes. But, from what you say around here you they would just let you title it as a "Homemade" trailer and let you go at that.
