I was seriously considering the gasoline engines but was unwilling to accept the performance degradation at altitude (I enjoy traveling the taller hills). If the manufacturers produced a larger forced induction gasser, I might be singing its praises right now instead of buying another diesel.
The right tool (engine) for the right person has so many variables, I will never try to convince anyone my tool should be their choice. I'm glad the OP found the tool that works well for him and will leave it at that.
