I thought your reasons for getting a gasser were very good and your mileage is better than I would have thought.
I'm a diesel guy and I didn't think I was attacking anyone at all.
In fact ,I find I'm being attacked because I own a diesel.
I choose diesels because I like them not because I feel everyone should have them. You choose what you want or need.
