I am assuming it will get better. Had a 2005 Ford 250 diesel and never got 20 mpg not towing. Since it is not a DD, I would be perfectly happy getting mileage in the mid teens. We will see.

Get'r broke in with several thousand miles of towing long trips and running with a empty truck on long trips and some city driving then make a average for each and report back.

300 miles doesn't tell us much but thanks anyway as my wife is wanting a new 2500 4x4 crew cab with the new 6.4 in place of her little 1500 chevy crew cab 4x4 5.3 truck.
