After reading year after year of all the problems with trailers and RV's I should be steering clear of ever owning one..... That being said, I still own one and have owned quite a few over the years. Yes I have had my fair share of problems, but I still own one and have had a lot of good times regardless of problems.
Sure a slide can have issues, but many units with slides never have any issues. Like anything, maintenance will reduce the potential for issues, and a topper with reduce the chance of a leak. Bla Bla Bla......
There are many pro's and con's to having a slide, if you like having one get one, if it's not worth the hassle to you then there are many units without.
