Did you look at the tweener model Polaris now sells? The General is half way between Ranger and RZR in utility and sport. It looked like a comprise for those who like to play but still have to work.

I heard about the announcement of the General, then saw one at the dealer on the west side of Spokane about a month ago. It was outside, the day was cold so I didn't look at it very closely.
The dealer on the east end of town got one in a few weeks ago. I've glanced at it a few times, but eventually decided on a Ranger, since the visibility out the front is better for tooling around my property, plowing snow, etc. Basically it came down to this the planned usage will be somewhat more "utilitarian" chose the Ranger.
Initially I considered the Sportsman 570 ATV as a plow rig to replace the old school ATV I currently use, but getting wet and cold, spending 10 minutes gearing up to go out on it to plow snow, then dealing with wet gear afterwards was getting old.
It was a very long process of evaluating what I though would be the best unit for the various things I intend to use it for. The full size Rangers got a makeover in 2013 and there's a plethora of cab accessories. Someday it will add a heater to it.
