You Ram mafia guys are a hoot. Please research the "velcro effect." Here's the last breakdown I could find for 2014 sales by truck type. There hasn't been much shift since then because each branch hasn't introduced a newer model yet. Ford led HD sales by almost 100,000 sales that year over Ram.
2014 sales breakdown
Number like this don't represent the reality of our current topic. If there were statistical data that compared choice of vehicle for RVer's or haulers, that would be more applicable to this discussion. Unfortunately, its highly doubtful that such information exists.
When comparing vehicle purchases in general, you have to consider the effect of fleet purchases by both large and small corporations. You have to consider fleet purchases by municipal owners (cities, states, etc.) too. For those purchases, low bid wins. The local RAM dealer may not be able to compete with Ford on the regular cab, 3/4 ton series with long bed, vinyl seats, gas engine, basic radio package. But the Ram dealer might be winning big time on individual sales to haulers or private parties needing a tow vehicle.
Not according to your brethren. According to you guys every municipal in the country has switched to Ram so which is it. Just accept the fact that there are more Super Duty's on the road and likely many of them pull RVs. Every campground I've been to shows good representation from Ford and Ram with a few GMs sprinkled in. Unfortunately, you guys keep making wild assertions that you never see a Ford pulling a RV or if you do it must be on a blue moon.
