Nash 22H, Pros and Cons

I have become interested in the Nash 22H TT. From what I can see they are well built units. Dealers in the eastern part of the USA are few and far between, so getting to actually look at one up close has not been possible. A dealer in central PA will be getting one in a few weeks so I want to take a look. There have been posts here that briefly mentioned the Nash products but nothing in depth. Are there any owners out there that have opinions of the Nash? I would like to hear them. Thanks!
  • I've only looked and read about them online, but if I really needed a 4 season trailer, they would be on my short list. As mentioned, the wood & 4 season construction make them on the heavier side, so it boils down to what size trailer do you want depending on what you plan to use for a tow vehicle. The closest floorplan to our 2201DS is in the Arctic Fox line and would add over a thousand lbs. to the dry weight. If money were no problem, I'd seriously think about a 3/4 ton truck and a nice Arctic Fox trailer....and if I were a fan of winter camping, I'd definitely look at the Nash or Arctic Fox.

You will see few negatives about Arctic Fox/Nash products and I think they are a good choice as long as you have the necessary tow vehicle and are happy with the floorpland and features you choose.

I have a 98 Nash 22H. One of the best built trailers you can buy for under $50K if you ask me. Very high quality, very well put together. This is a great floorplan for 2 people, in my opinion. We have 4 now and its too tight to be comfortable on longer trips. The huge rear bathroom is a plus. There is enough room in the front bedroom to put an RV queen if you want. I'm tall, so I bought a memory foam mattress in a true queen and just notched out a corner for the wardrobe.

We get occasional company which makes it hard to make breakfast in the morning when there is a late riser on the dinette bed. About what size are the couch and dinette when they are converted to beds? The Nash brochure doesn't give dimensions.
  • Nash - Arctic Fox are very nice rigs - but they tend to be on the heavy side. I really liked my Arctic Fox but traded to a lighter weight Lance with a slide

  • We've had ours for 13 years and love it. They are engineered and built right. Our daughter and her family have had one for two years with no complaints. They are about as good a value as you can get in an RV. Good luck. And you might need luck to get one back east. We are about 5 hours away from the Northwoods factory where they are made.
