I have a special ordered 4WD 2016 CC shortbed Chevy SRW 3500 modeled after the 2013 Chevy they put together on TCM, Truck Camper Magazine specifically for toting a TC. I deemed it to be a mini monster truck during the first week I owned it, so it's ironic that you say monster too.
Tire limits are indeed 7050 as previously stated. When empty and no tailgate rear axle weighs 3110. So that leaves 3940 to work with. Sounds like alot doesn't it? According to TCM your Camplite is 34 lbs heavier than our 2017 Wolf Creek 840.
Yea right, here are some actual numbers as I have visited the CAT scales 6 times since we've owned the setup. The dry weight of our camper is actually 3360 but we do have most of the options offered, TC was special ordered too. I also have a 3500 lb boat that has a 350 lb tongue weight. When all is hooked up I am pushing the limits of the rear tires so I've done things like move spare tire to front of truck, remove over dinette bunk and so on. I have not been over the 7050 tire limits yet but have been up to 7000 lbs which is very concerning. A DRW really is in order but like you I don't want one. Truck is big enough as it is. Besides you can't buy a shortbed dually in a Chevy and forget a 2500 pickup. Without boat I really have no weight concerns but that is why I have a TC so I can take the boat.
Truck drives and handles it all like a champ without any aftermarket mods whatsoever. The TCM folks deemed their truck didn't need mods either although I believe that they tried the lower Torklift stable loads at some point.
Good luck on your decision...
