Need a solution for uncomfortable jackknive sofa as bed.
I am thinking of having a 42"×70" foam pad with fabric cover made to place on top of it. I am ok with leaving it in bed mode for an entire trip. Any ideas?

We took ours out but left the flat plywood frame , cut a piece of 6 inch foam to fit , added bolsters and it became a very comfortable " daybed ". A cheaper source of foam is buying a used foam mattress at a thrift store and cut to fit with an electric bread knife . The left overs became the bolsters !
