Need advice about trading in a TT that has been in accident

If , in your mind, it was fixed "as good as new" or returned to its former condition, then it is a non issue. If you tell the dealer, most likely he will give some sob story about how he cant sell it etc.... when all he wants to do is reduce your trade value. When he sells, I doubt he will mention to the buyer.
