IPO stands for IN PLACE OF....so instead of a 13.5k btu you get a 15k btu A/C unit. I am from Texas, just spent a week at Garner last week was HOT during the day with only 1 a/c unit in our trailer. A couple of well placed fans made it bearable. At night, would freeze you out. Just my 2 cents.

I thought it had 2? Looked at the msrp sheet on website and had 15k btu ipo/13.5kbtu I think i got it right?

If you are going with one A/C unit get something much smaller.

Thank you i am going to see if i can find a artic fox. Did a google search nearest dealer is in New Mexico. I am liking the features but fear I can't afford it. There are used ones but its 1,000+ miles, from home and they are 04-10 maybe, I didn't look that close.

Snowbirds will probably be a good crowd to ask. Anyone that is living in their rig for more than a couple of weeks is a good candidate to interview. There is also a "Full-timers" section on this Forum and you may get some good advice there.

FWIW, a few years ago, while thinking about full-timing in ND for oil field work, I restored and rebuilt a trailer that could meet the requirements of a ND Winter (at least I was going to try it). I gutted the trailer and installed as much foam insulation board as I could fit. I replaced all the glass with new Low-E windows. I replaced the RV furnace with a heater I had used in previous RV's that was non-electric.
All of these upgrades resulted in a trailer that is a lot easier to heat and cool.
You won't want to go to these lengths, I know, but getting a trailer with some of these features will be well worth your while. Like Don says, you'll recover the additional price of good insulation and dual-paned glass from your utility bills. You'll also have something that is lot more comfortable/livable.
One brand that has a good 4 season package is Arctic Fox. I'm sure there are others and the AF may be scarce in Texas (don't know).

It's good that you have some time to look before buying. There are a lot of nice rigs out there, just takes some time and digging to find the right one. Offhand, that Keystone seems to be a bit over-priced. These trailers drop in price like a stone.

Outback is really an entry level 2 season trailer. What you save on pirchase price will cost you in the end in utility bills. Keep looking.
