Absorbation refers take about 24 hours to cool down. You waited too long to start it up I'm afraid to do you much good. Be sure the gas is flowing by lighting off a stove burner. Then turn on the refer. Press on you should see some lights come on. Then press to select auto. Wen on and working it may or may not have a LED by gas. If it does not start you will see an error message LED.
