Good day everyone - Let me first say I appreciate the responses. I've been trying to do my due diligence and purchased the Trailer based off of what the VIN Pulled and showed at dealership.
Here is where the confusion comes in.
The Sticker that you'd think would be on the door jam is not informative. Only shows tire pressures. There is one in the glove box that shows slide in camper weight.
There is not a sticker, medallion or any other marking on the truck that shows GVWR, GCVWR, GAWR. I've looked in the owners manual which refers me to the diesel addendum that shows me once again conflicting information. Chevy's website shows yet conflicting information again, and the towing guide that someone shared doesn't have the diesel 2500HD listed. (i'd already looked at this.) (Possible that i missed it after looking through so many things.)
So for those that would like to have the info that I have here it goes... I will round up on numbers
Chevy 2016 Silverado HighCountry Duramax 2500HD SRW
Tire loads rating is 3200lbs
Load capacity I've found - 2400lbs
slide in camper capacity - 1200lbs
According to chevy - max trailer load - 17,100 with GVWR 21,500
according to book 1 - max trailer load - 13,000
according to book 2 - max trailer load - 14,500
diesel addendum - max trailer load - 16,900 - with GVWR 21,500
each have different load ratings for the truck.
The dry weight on the camper is changing due to the fact I'm removing several items from it. roughly about 600lbs.
With the conflicting information in all the locations that are suggested and are recommended to find out your GVWR hopefully some of you can understand how this is simply confusing.
Thanks rowekmr
Appreciate it!
