Need help on what tires to get

THe Wild COuntry tires by schwab are Cooper made. I've also ahd good luck with COoper thru the years. Michelin.......i'd run from them BIG time. The worst tire for mileage I have used with General in the lead. AGAIN, as noted by others, depends upon how and where you drive etc as to which tire brand, not to mention type, tread, rubber compound etc will get/net you the best mileage per say from a tire.
Locally a Power company found a particular Good Year brand worked well for the off road work on the power lines they do. But the tire tread itself was torn apart by the rocks etc on the service roads. They went to good Year, They knew exactly what to do, made them up some 1000 tires for there HDT/MDT trucks in the size they used. They used a different rubber compound for off road use, they are noe getting double the life out of the tires. Then again, not everyone had 1000 tires on the ground at any one time. 1000 tires at $400-500 is a chunk of change and worth a special run just in and of itself.
Some like myself that do mostly city and county roads, no interstate from a major % stand point, getlower miles for a given tire than others that are on the interstate the whole time. Many times it will be 40-50% max mileage for me vs an interstate person!
Keep this all in mind.
