Need help with a few questions, re: buying first diesel

I have owned two pickup trucks back in the day, but never a diesel. I am looking to buy a diesel PU as a second vehicle for now, and possibly a fifth wheel in a few months. I am looking at 2006 to 2...

No 5.9's came with an EB from the Factory? If so I confess i'm CRACKIN.
