Need inexpensive outdoor storage in Portland, Oregon

Hi there,
I am brand new on this forum and am very pleased to have found you.
I just sold a 17 Foot Tent camper and will be purchasing a 22 Foot Travel Trailer next week.
I need to find some inexpensive outdoor storage ASAP as I live in a neighborhood with very strict HOA.
We live in Portland OR and I thought I read something about $25 per month on one of the forums and now I am unable to find it.
I will need to store both vehicles
Thank you so much

  • How far are you willing to drive? Our indoor storage place decided to not store trailers this winter and let us know at the last minute. We had to scramble. We found storage in the $100 - $200 range but kept looking. We finally decided on the county fairgrounds that was about a half hour away. We ended up paying about $80/month for our 22 ft trailer. The only negative, you put it in and don't get it out until march.

That doesn't sound like an HOA, it sounds like internment camp....I mean, I get HOA's not wanting overnight parking of trailers and such to keep the neighborhood looking nice, but you can't even have one in your own driveway working with it during the day??? That would push me over the edge....I'd move....
  • I think your screen name says it all..."euphoria" tends to induce all kinds of delusions, as evidenced by your belief that you can find RV storage in the Portland metro area for $25.00 a month.
  • I live in Happy Valley, which is in far SE Off of Foster rd.

I have a 3 car garage and my truck can fit in the garage beautifully.

I took the tent camper out to show it today and not 15 minutes later I had a citation on my door.

So I want to be prepared for when I pick up my travel trailer.

The little 17 Foot tent camper needs to be stored somewhere in N Portland, the 24 Foot Travel Trailer in SE Pdx

    Thank you in advance

  • You don't say what part of town you're looking in. Portland isn't exactly tiny.
  • You might look at some of the small towns around Portland. You could also ask the dealer, sometimes they know of storage or provide storage for a fee.
  • check Craigslist.

I spend $95 a month for a 30' long space with a roof over it in Vancouver, on Padden Parkway, just west of the Costco.

Many of the places that I found where in the same price range, and not covered, and most RV parking facilities where full when I was looking for a30' space. If you measure the truck and trailer, the overall length will be in the 44' range, that is much longer than I am, and will cost a bit more. you might want to store the tow vehicle at home, and keep moving it to avoid benig fined.

    Good luck,

    Fred.
  • That would be a smoking deal. Around those parts, I seem to only find them in the 100 to 150 range for the cheaper storage. But then I haven't really been looking hard since I'm only contemplating what size and type of trailer I want to eventually get.
