Need new kitchen faucet

I have a Keystone 2007 Hornet 36BHS and I need to replace the kitchen faucet. It current has plastic faucet with 2 handles. Can I replace this with a single handle faucet and if so, do you have any suggestions. Thanks!
  • :) Hi, I replaced my bathroom faucet with a single handle model from Lowes. I had to shorten my PEX by about 2"s.
  • I just replaced our bathroom faucet. I did what 2oldman did and went to Lowes and bought one. I think you'll get a better faucet at a better price. Works great. I didn't have to do anything different than if I would've replaced the one in the house. You just won't have as much room to work in. Good luck.
  • Instead of direct connection I installed shutoffs and used flexible hoses to the new faucet.
  • Like snowbird says identify how the counter is cut/drilled for the current faucet and then go to your favorite store(homedepot,lowes,menards...) that carries them and pick one that you like.
  • Sometimes it's an easy job, sometimes not. I like to take my digital camera on closeup, put it under the sink, and take a bunch of pictures of the existing faucet and how the plate fits into the space, how long the present hoses are, etc, etc.

There is a lot of pitfalls, it's an awkward place to work being one.

    Good luck!
  • We replaced ours with a single handle faucet. We bought ours at PPL. Take the old one out...take it to Home Depot and make sure the bottom parts match up. Keep the old one in case you need the bottom plastic screw nuts. On the new one they were too tall, the old ones fit fine. Some are different fittings. Easy to replace.
