Any place that silicone has been used will need to be thoroughly cleaned, even the residue on the membrane, nothing will stick to cured silicone. For roofs, there is nothing that will beat Eternabond tapes, IMO. It is a lifetime fix for sealing anything.
With even Dicor sealants, they will need to be renewed over time.
