Don't need power. Water pressure is all you need.
Also, don't be surprised if your hot hater tank only has 1 valve, not the three shown in the diagram on the last page. After winterizing, I always turn mine back, but no idea what the dealer may do. Be sure your hot water tank has water in it before turning it on (propane or electric).
