2016 CTD 2500, 2WD, need for highway use only. No off road, snow, ice, etc. Tow an 8500 lb TT.
VERY disappointed in the original equipment Firestone H/T Tires.
I've got about 23K on them and I'm seriously wondering if they will go another 5K. Looking for something with much tread life.
For your stated usage: Michelin XPS RIBS all day long.
After 90-100K you can have them retreaded.
They are expensive, but just may be the last tires you buy for that truck. - Charlie_D_Explorer

At least 100K on these 4th 2010 take offs on my last 98 12V RAM 2wd.

I like the Nitto's as well. I have a pickup with the EXO Grapplers and my wife has the G2 on her half ton. Both are really good depending on what you expect out of the tires
How have the EXO's worn in your dmax? Have you had them on snow/ice?
This is my third set, pulling heavy the majority of the time and I get about 55K out of them. I sipe them when they are worn down 50 percent, just because. I am happy with the grip on ice, very good in snow. Here in East Idaho that is a large part of our driving. There is some road noise but it is not bad in my opinion. It is a HD tire.
Good info, thanks. I think 55k is great wear for that type of tire on a diesel truck that also tows a lot. I'll keep them in mind when replacement time comes for my KO2's. - larry_barnhartExplorer

Michelin Defenders LTX M&S replaced my Transforce AT's at 29K. Quiet and smooth. Would use them again next time. I have around 14-15K on them with 1 1/2 round trips to Arizona. NO overt signs of wear.

My Michelin Defenders look GREAT at 15K compared to the MS2's. Looks like Michelin made improvements to the MS2.
same tire on our truck and no reason to not like them. No cracking that Michelin is famous for. New tires going on if we travel this winter. Front installed just because in September.

I see folks constantly claiming these outrageous mileages and normally just shake my head. I'm not saying some aren't true, I'd just love to know how they do it if so. Especially towing."
It's called proper inflation based on load and proper alignment!!! - Cummins12V98Explorer III

- Grit_dogNavigator IIDespite my previous comment, I have a set of 20" OE Trasnforce AT tires with 20k plus miles, maybe 25k and they're just over half left or 50% useable. Half of that is with the camper on and some trailer towing as well. They're just summer tires but holding up well. Don't do many but outs but I don't baby them.
