Keep in mind that the same sidewall profile (75) on a bigger rim will have a larger overall diameter and will affect your speedometer. The 285/75/17 is 1" larger in diameter than the 16" tire and will put your speedo off by about 3kph. Not a big deal but it affects the computer readouts for mileage etc.
If you don't want to affect anything you should go with a 285/70/17 which is almost identical in overall diameter to the 285/75/16
