Sooo, what do you do? After setting up camp, do you introduce yourself to your neighbors, invite them for drinks, borrow their firewood and become a pain in the neck or do you retire to your condo ...

X2, you can usually get a read in the first minute or two. Some people just don't want to be bothered.
Buzzcut1 has the right idea. Unfortunately he probably woke up the next morning with another RV parked about 5' to his right. Some people don't want to be alone. :?
