IMHO it depends a lot on HOW you RV.
Weekend Rv'er, 7 day vacation, snowbird, full time. And when the guy pulls in next to you you really don't know.
When I am traveling down south I am usually pulling in for just the night and I am tired. Just want to rest and then get back on the road in the morning. So to some cg neighbors I might look like a hermit! :B
BTW: Those that don't like the sardine effect in CG's don't have to endure it.
When you pull in the guy at the desk just puts you in the next site that is open in the row he's working on filling up. Assuming you want to have camping neighbors.
There is NO rule that you have to take it nor do they care if you choose not to.
When I pull in I ask to be put out in the last row on the outskirts of the CG. I've yet to have a CG deny me that request. Ahhh peaceful camping night when you have to use a CG.
