Thanks Netboy. I still say the fresh water tank inspection port was a stroke of genius, and the best mod I've done to my camper, ever.
I've used it numerous times to fill the water tank when the only means of getting water to the camper was with my 6 gallon jugs. Much, much easier to fill the tank through the inspection port rather than through the gravity fill on the side of the camper.
I have also fixed TWO leaks in my fresh water tank from the inside by going through the inspection port. I used a hot glue gun on both of them, and they have both been permanent fixes. The first leak was from me running a screw through the tank when I was doing some other work on the camper. The second one was just recently when a crack developed at a corner and started leaking. Hot glue is great stuff, but I couldn't have done it if the inspection port had not been there. Not as easy anyway.
