  • I figured when I purchased my 2013, that they would upgrade the engines for next year. I am happy that mine is still current, but disappointed that GM chose not to improve on a good engine line, like they did with the 1500's.

Very nice...My only hang up is the interior, I think the outgoing interior is nicer.

Have you been in the new 2014 1500s? I truly like the new interior, and the truck is much quieter!

No I haven't and your right pictures certainly don't compare to being up close and personal with something, I might very well like the interior better when I get into one. I need to check one of these out. I have to say, I have always favored the looks of the Ram HD'S but this redesign looks every bit as good, dare I say even better than the Ram.

I also like that there staying with proven powertrain's, particularly the 6.0 liter.

  • "What’s not new in this 2015 Chevy 2500 and 3500 Silverado HD are the powertrains. Chevy will continue (at least for the next year or two) to use the small OHV Vortec 6000 that’s still rated at a mediocre 360 horsepower and 380 pounds-feet of torque. Likewise, Chevy will continue to use the Duramax turbo diesel — 397 hp and 765 pounds-feet of torque –and Allison 1000 transmissions."

Same powertrain hp & tq numbers for the 6.0L gasser and the Duramax. Boo.

WOW, The payload for the 2500 is 1,111 lbs MORE than my 2008 2500HD

But only 900 more than my 2013. Remember, those are maximum numbers, not 4wd, not diesel, not crew cab.
  • And now the camo can come off the HD trucks running around South-east Michigan!
