New 2015 Lance 1172 Arrived!!!

Our new custom ordered Lance 1172 arrived this week at Ketelsen Campers of Denver, CO. While some may know we had a 2013, the changes Lance made over the past couple of years were enough for us to want to make the upgrade. While some may consider the modifications minor they were huge to me and I'm loving them!! This is our third Lance since 2009 and I can't say enough how nice and well put together this rig is!! From the electric awning, to the basement compartment in the rear of the camper, to the two factory installed solar panels we are really liking the new unit. We loved the layout of our 2013 1172, and the improvements were exactly what we said the unit needed in 2013 plus some!

Anyway, just wanted to put a shout out for anyone with a family who is looking for a large truck camper…this is a great model that could easily sleep a family of 5-6 comfortably (depending on ages of course). If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask and I'd be happy to give you my two cents.

Additionally, the 2011 Ram 3500 (with slight modifications) carried the new camper up to Rocky Mountain National Park today without a hitch. I was actually having no problem keeping up with cars heading up the mountain today, and really appreciated that exhaust brake coming down the mountains…allowing us to descend the 4k plus feet with minimal actual brake use. Despite the weight of this unit it is also sitting nice and flat on the truck.

The solar panels on the new ones are actually 95 watts each and yes I know we'll enjoy them!! The battery stayed at 100% the entire day we were out. You are absolutely correct in the fit and finish is amazing...we are very pleased....and Don at Ketelsen Campers was great to work with. The unit was flawless when we picked it up!
Congrats on the new Lance Camper and the fact you are wasting no time in getting the new camper smell out, as well as that shine off by using it too.

I certainly give Kudos to Don and Ketesen Campers of Denver. Not just for their sales, but their support and service, too.

So, when are you going to share a picture of this new beast?

  • Great news on your new custom Lance Truck Camper. They manufacture to a "zero tolerance" and fit and finish are way ahead of any other TC out there. When we were looking to replace the Arctic Fox Trailer we first looked at Lance Truck Campers as a general idea of how they manufacture their RV's.

Did you get the 2 75 watt solar panels (I think they're 75watt) because if you did, you'll be very happy with them.

They're just plain GREAT with a reputation well deserved!

Have fun camping in your new Lance!

By the way, there is a Lance users group online called "Lance Owners of America" (LOA) and they have a hardcore base of users!
