The only thing light duty diesel vehicles have going for them is that most people don't look at the economic sense! When I bought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee I took the diesel because it was free. Not a good free gift. I am spending more per mile than the V6 gas engine. Not only that, try trading in a Jeep with a diesel right now. Not good. Not sure if the Ram 1500 is holding it's value or not.
