Looks like a big change.

  • Oh noes, a fully boxed frame! Where will all the semi c - channel guys argue now? Just kidding. I knew this would come down the pipe. Good on Ford. They 1 upped the market me thinks.

Also, slick move to use the same cab section as the 150. Still gives it a unique face with the bed and front clip, but realize more economy of scale for the aluminum sections. This will help minimize true price increases due to the aluminum switch.

Honestly cant say I like the front end better than my 2011.

I don't have one but, I also like the older front ends better.
However, if you want a new SD, you learn to like it. ;)
  • 1. Blind Spot Monitoring for truck and trailer
    2. Integrated TPMS for trailer
    3. Ability to hook camera from back of trailer

    Cool stuff
  • No 10 speed
    No ecoboost

    Yet
Ford keeps information coming in dribs and drabs to keep social media at a slow constant boil.
Watch for "to be introduced at a later date" , they will do it for months yet to come.
  • Looks like no EcoBoost option that was so widely predicted. And that's a good thing.

Nothing wrong with the EB, it's just that there is a limit to them.
  • Yeah I saw that, even tho the bed is 1 inch shorter(bed floor to top of the rail) than the F150 bed.
  • The only bad thing a noticed is that the 2017 is 1-1/2 inches taller then the earlier models.
That's going to make some towing, even more interesting
  • Frankly I hope I never descend to the point that I care about what the grill looks like....heh
  • Honestly cant say I like the front end better than my 2011.

I hope a lot of people run out and trade in their low mileage duallies for 2017 models so I can get a good price on a nice low mileage used one.
