In the fall we purchased a 15 kz spree connect 322bhs and I was hoping I would be able to tow with my 1500. The wet weight of the trailer is 8100lbs with approx 1000lbs hitch weight.After taking my truck to the scale with full gas and passengers, my 1670lbs of payload had 900 left for the tongue weight and bed gear.So we purchased a 15 silverado 2500hd 6.0.Can't wait to pick her up

Nice truck !! Very tried and true 6.0 gas backed by a 410 and 6 speed is one very dependable , capable truck !! Have a work truck at work with a 6.0 gas has 300,000 miles and keeps on working hard !

Nice choice! I hear you on that! I had a F150, after loaded up and ready to go I was right at my max,, it pulled it, but ran at the upper edge.Stepped up to 2500HD and enjoy every trip! GM makes a much more comfortable driving truck for me, I know its personal preference but I am 5'9" and I just couldn't get comfortable in that Ford, no place to rest your arm other than out the window and the center fold down was to low!! Now,, we have plenty of payload,I am super comfortable while going down the road and that 6.0 6 speed and the tow/haul make life that much better!! Good luck with the new truck!

Don't mind towing at a truck's limits but don't want to be much over.

I am another happy 3500 HD 6.0 customer. I pulled 17K up a 6 mile 6% grade at 6K feet last week. She pulled like a champ. I had to start the pull from a dead stop ( had to go through a DOT check point at bottom of the hill). I was impressed with how well it pulled. The quietness of the cabs is very impressive, great capacity, there is not much not to like with these pickups. They are selling a lot of the GM HD's here.

I have an 06 LBZ and we like it. Right now the Turbo Vane Position Sender is going out and runs $270.00 for DIY. Waiting on part so we can go to Far North NY Thursday. CGVW is 19500 when we leave home with 130 G of fuel. We have an aux tank and can buy diesel in OK for 1.30 and go 1300 mi. to Va and it's 1.59 here now.
