My first was a used 79 Skylark. 29ft.TT. It had a steel tank under the bed but never used it. Owner before me disconnected the w/p and just made a connection to the intake line and worked for us. Always stayed in a campground with water hookup. After two yrs. with that trailer we purchased our current one. Sounds like you are on the right track.
