Yea , the whole point is to be inside , in the cool , right
If someone is stuck outside listening to it in the heat , they might be in a bad mood anyway
That mach 8 cub is rated at 9200 btu`s just like all the other cubs
It has two fan motors
The outside condenser fan runs at one speed all the time , so the cooling ability is not reduced as was the older models , the inside fan only reduces the air flow, two speeds
So it is as cool on low as it is on high
Its nice and low looking
The top fan opening is way smaller than the old cub , and I never really had a problem with debris going is my old "d" series cub
