I have a 2 part question but the first is a statement,I am a dummy, I accidentally reversed the polarity on the battery today, when I went into the coach to open the circuit I heard immediately what took a few minutes to figure out 2 40 amp fuses fissile away,, after replacing them getting everything else back up and running" I think" the slide out still remains without power. I cant open it or close it its just DOA.. I have a 2007 Komfort M-27R does anyone know if there is a fuse, breaker, reset button or interrupter that I need to flip, push or change to get power back to the slide out and most importantly where it is??? I have looked in all the exposed locations? I hate to tear things apart blindly looking for something, as you can tell i do enough damage UN-intentionally. Question 2 How strong are the Manual over rides? When I connected a 1/2 inch drive socked to bring the slide in,,IN, manually after a few loose turns I can see it begin to come in but all of the sudden it stops and gets tight,, I put reasonable torque on the ratchet enough for me to be concerned that I might break something, does it take a lot of force to manually bring it in// or will I break it if I really give it the torque???

Did you change the battery cables correctly before replacing the REVERSE POLARITY fuses. If not it would have just blew them again. There is also another in-line fuse close to the battery that may be blown as well...Roy Ken

I did switch the battery cables unreversing the polity and installed new fuses,I search in the battery compartment for a slider fuse or any fuse following the cables but can't locate a fuse everything disappeareS into the walls

I did this before and my slide just worked opposite of what the switch said. That is how I realized I had my polarity switched on the battery. I really don't think the polarity being switched should cause the slide not to work.Be careful when manually doing the slide. Too much torque on the manual wrench can cause a shear pin to shear in the gear housing of the slide actuator. I know this from experience too.

Did you change the battery cables correctly before replacing the REVERSE POLARITY fuses. If not it would have just blew them again. There is also another in-line fuse close to the battery that may be blown as well...

On mine, the slide breaker is not far from the battery, but is just inside the basement wall. You have to access through the basement cargo door.

It is a requirement to have some sort of DC CABLE protection in the event the battery cable get shorted to frame ground. The batteries can produce a large amount of DC Current when this happens and could cause a fire.

In the older RVs this was always an in-line fuse very close to the battery positive terminal. The newer RVs have used an auto resetable circuit breaker in lieu of the fuse.

My original 2008 Trailer battery fuse holder looks similar to this google image...

On my 2005 KZ Durango it has a master switch and also a side out switch. The owners manual says the master switch needs to be turned off to manually open or close the slide out. You may try this and it may work

I'm going to have to look much harder Tracing all the lines within the battery compartment reviles no fuse,, I looked in the cargo and saw a generator hook up station maybe its in there ?? I look when I get back home. by the way thanks everyone for your input, does anyone think that it could be combined with the operating switch inside the cabin??

Doubtful.

In my experience all of the circuit breakers for the slide SHOULD be very close to the battery on the + side.

I have never seen the circuits for
the slides go through the main power panel inside the coach.

They have always been direct off the battery with circuit protection of some sort or another.

Having said that I doubt that reversing the polarity from the battery would cause your problem. There is something else wrong.
