This thread is getting interesting, but the last few posts could easily be a few different threads.
Spending more time looking at the outside insulation could be helpful for any season. I don't really have a problem, but I'm sure I could decrease the propane usage with a few changes. I'm not sure I want to use batting, but that could just be because I've heard of so many materials "attracting" moisture and holding it in boats. I suppose a little bit wouldn't hurt anything as long as it was easy to check and remove.
I think I'll make a trip around my TC and note where the heat loss seems to be with an infrared laser thermometer. It would be interesting to see the impact of batting vs reflectix or a combination.
