bka0721,
A quick reply and that's it for now on this thread.
Per American RV in Grand Rapids on 76th St SW who sells Lance Truck Campers, Arctic Fox Truck Campers, Travel Lite Truck Campers, and Cirrus Truck Campers plus Lance Travel Trailers and Lance Toy Haulers on their big lot/Camping World location and what I had see with my own 2 eyes this past spring. 2016 Lance truck Campers still have a hot air heated basement and valve area where the holding tanks etc are located as I actually seen the duct from the furnace down into the basement and there were NO heat pads or a control switch to turn such on or off on the new Lance truck campers we looked at. So only the heat from the furnace duct heats the holding tanks in the TC basement in the new Lance TC's in the 2016 models we'd looked at in depth. Was also told this by American RV.
Perhaps heat pads on the holding tanks themselves could possibly be an added option but that would drain the 12 V battery charge real fast if not keeping up with the fast battery drain, so why? Lance Travel Trailers and Toy Haulers DO have tank mounted heating pad options and it's stated right in their brochures as an option.
The Arctic Fox TC's we looked at did have heat pad switches so it must have the heat pads to keep the holding tanks from freezing in very cold temps and that would require a generator or having shore power hookups. There was no heat going to the valve area and has been noted by AF owners on various forums and they will freeze up.
When I get a chance, I will be calling Lance Engineering in Lancaster and PM you with their answers. I have talked to them several times in the past. We are really busy presently as we are getting packed and ready to leave with our 5th wheel for our annual Florida wintering trip for 2-1/2 months and visiting our families living down there.
The above is why I'd found your post info very confusing.
Enough!
