I'm sorry, but it is very clear that a heated basement with a forced air duct and heated tanks are two very different things and are very well defined in the discussion that baka0721 offered and is not in the least confusing in my mind. We are talking extreme cold here for prolonged periods of time which no ducted system could keep up with. I'm not sure why the resistance but as far as from an educational standpoint, he did clarify if there was any confusion, he clarified again, and even apologized. Maybe the option is offered now but even last years stock didn't have the option. If the tank heater option is offered on the new TCs and your going new...don't sell yourself short.. buy it! Even if you used it in your driveway on shore power between trips...at least you would never have to winterize between trips if your area is in freezing temps. Now if it were ducted, you would have to have a basement heater of some kind, do a tank heater mod or run your propane heater just to keep the basement somewhat warm.. I used to run cube heaters in my basement when between trips. Those little guys really do work well set them at about 40-45 and since it is a small space keeps it safe.
