Replacement fabric is pretty cheap if you look around. I just got factory replacement fabric from Dyers for a little over 200.00.
Knock off fabric can be had for less.
At those prices, I just don't think its worth it to mess around trying to repair old fabric.. The upholstry shop will charge for this repair, then you still gotta mess with the uninstall/installation of used fabric, which will likely only last a little while longer.
You got 13 years of service out of it. It has served you well. Now it is time for new.
