Based on my experience with Dodge trucks, and the stuff I become aware of from personal friends and acquaintances that own dodge vehicles, the front end is a weak link on these, especially the diesels. One of the reasons I traded in my 2011 2500 CTD was because of a front end reaching the point where it needed a lot of work on the front end. I had already had to replace the shocks because they overheated on a washboard dirt road that overheated and blew them (Literally) I traded it in with approximately 32k on it, virtually all towing to campgrounds and exploring while camped. The other weak link was the hitch which was to the point of needing to be replaced.
Replace the parts with good quality aftermarket stuff and it will perform well for years. Kind of annoying but just the way it works.
