New Bigfoot models but not for Bigpeople

TCM just posted an interview with the Bigfoot RV president about some changes to their 2500 series. Looks good BUT.......

From what I see, none of their models- 2500 and 1500 TCs and their travel trailers have a (sleeping) bed longer than 74".

The single exception is their longest TT that has 80" Lucy and Ricky singles. That would be a big :R hit with SWMBO.

What gives? I am 1" longer than their beds and I will not sleep with my feet dangling.

Is everyone else getting shorter?

The older I get, the shorter I become.....:E
  • This one reason I'm steering away from Bigfoot. I do like Bigfoot and Northern Lite. I'm 6'6 with shoes on so I would have to go with a Northern Lite. Bigfoot needs to make some different molds and get the interior height to 6'8 and a real queen size bed. They are missing out on sales from us taller dudes. Northern Lite wet bathroom I think is only 74 inches tall so that would suck for us taller dudes too.

Yeah I am very aware of that. We would like to eventually go to a small TT since Cathy has very short legs and getting into the cabover isn't her favorite.

But nearly all short TTs have those sort-of midget beds. That alone may drive us to a short 5th where more have FULL size queen beds.
  • I believe they have been this size from day 1. Since they sell as many as they make, they aren't likely to spend big bucks for new molds.

Northern Lite is an alternative fiberglass camper with full queen size beds.
