New camper discount.

I was just looking for something to shoot for. I have owned class A's the last 23 years. Those are about 34% off. Sounds like TC are about 20%. The Host I loaded up was actually 65.3K. I guess I have a little more work to do.

Last year I visited the Lance Dealer near the Quebec/Ontario border. He had the price of each camper listed on each camper. Several over $50,000.00 and when I asked for his best price on one model we wanted he stated he may be willing to reduce a few hundred dollars. We ended up walking away from a close to $60,000.00 truck camper because there was no deal to be made. So if you guys in the States are getting over 20% off "be happy".

Sounds like a good way!
That way both parties get something, and the dealer can make a smaller profit, but still a profit. You get a good discount, and a new product. Sure sounds good on here!

It's really is. That's EXACTLY what I did. It's not that complicated. I don't have time to play games and screw around.

MSRP is a tool. It means nothing. You make an offer. They accept or reject it. They or you counter-offer til you both are comfortable with the price. Done deal. Give me a receipt. If they don't like what you're offering...addios.

Seriously, even if the unit cost the dealer 50% of MSRP (it is certainly more than that), how does the dealer stay in business with zero income?

I think so. And it depends on what type of RV. TC dealers are few and far between in the south and east so that means less competition for the dealer to compete with, which can mean a higher price for the buyer.

I don't think any more than 20% if that. The 16's are fairly new to market right now. You could possibly save delivery but not sure where you live. Buying in Oregon has advantages.
