Congratulations! November in Oregon and on route can be cold. Read articles on cold weather camping.

Now that is one I never thought of,will have to try it.

Is a long trip, but looking forward to it. Hope the weather hold out. We never been to the northwest. The deal the dealer gave us made the trip worth it. We will be runnnig into thanksgiving so pray all the schedules fall into place. It is 2500 miles one way. The Cascade looks like a great camper. Have not seen one, but have seen the Mannoth. We like the recliners and increase floor space. We believe that my Gmc 3500 srw can handle the Cascade. It carried my Artic Fox 992 fine. There are mods to the suspension and I have ordered 19.5 inch Vision wheels that need to get here before we leave. So every needs to come together and we are excited ??.

That’s an interesting floor plan. I definitely like the recliners. That camper is pretty heavy so not sure how it will handle on a SRW but I would suggest changing out the anti-sway bars on both the front and rear if you haven’t already. Made a big difference on our F350. Good luck and enjoy the trip.

Handy hubby , as far as I can determine there isn't much difference in the weight of the Artic fox 992 and Cascade. On your uggestion of sway bars I have the helwig on the back ( I had it for the 992 and it made a significant difference) also have Hevey duty camper Timbrens, blisten schocks, lower stable loads. The new thing I'm adding is the 19.5 wheels to replace the stock 18. I will then go with the g rated commercial tires. Remember this camper is over a foot shorter and one less slide than the mammoth. I estimate loaded weight around 5000 pounds maybe a little less. That comes right at where I was before. Again all this is estimate. I have talked to Randall at hosts about my set up and the dealer they both believe I'm okay with my set up. I hope we're right

Congratulations. I'm sure it's hard to wait knowing it'll be done soon. That road trip would be a lot of fun. That's one of my favorite campers. No other truck camper out there like that one.

Congrats on this new camper!! I think many on this forum will be very interested in a report after receipt of your new Cascade. It is a very interesting floor plan. I too think the weight is close to the my current camper and will be interested in an assessment of how well your vehicle handles it.

You are also the first person I've seen on this forum that has purchased one. Please give us a any feedback about the direct pickup experience from the factory as well as any comments on the performance of the new camper.
