New Chevy/GMC pickup headlights

How would you boys that own a new or very late model Chevy or GMC pickup rate your headlights?

I was coming home last night on a two lane highway meeting a number of vehicles. First 2 or 3 vehicles had their headlights on dim, no problem,

but the 4th vehicle had very bright headlights and they were still on bright, the vehicle was still quite away off. As it got closer, I had to start watching the white line on the right side of the road as I could not stand the bright lights. So I said what the heck, I can not see as it is, I will flip my lights to bright for a sec and just maybe he has not noticed his lights were on bright,

he immediately dimmed his lights, but still they were very bright.
as the truck passed, I noticed it was a new or very late model Chevy or GMC.

If those lights were factory, they must be some kind of headlights.
based on the other vehicles, I would say they were much brighter than the other vehicles I was passing.

Wonder if there is a standard lum brightness that all vehicles are required to meet.

Have any of you guys with new GM pickups had a higher than normal number of folks signal you that your lights are on bright?

If so, get in another vehicle some evening and meet your truck, now those lights were bright, you will see what I am talking about.
maybe I am just getting old and light bother me more than it used to.

I also drive a 2005 dodge 2500, which has very sub standard head lights. That may be my problem, as I am driving around at night in the dark, not used to good headlights.

However, it could have been some young dude that had gone out and bought airplane landing lights and had them installed on his new GM truck.

Just an old dude venting some, guess cause he does not have high powered headlights in his truck.
